Mobile app for on-street parking control
Supa Parking provides a mobile web app for checking parking permits and subscriptions on the street by vehicle licence plate. Local police, parking attendants and authorised operators can use smartphones or tablets to check in real time whether a vehicle is authorised in a specific area.
How does mobile parking control work?
The operator opens Supa Parking in the device browser and enters the plate to be checked. The system compares it with registered permits and displays the information needed to determine whether the authorisation is active, valid for the relevant period and associated with the correct area.
The check uses the same database updated by municipal offices, the online portal and any authorised partners. Exported lists, printed sheets and manual synchronisation between separate systems are therefore unnecessary.
A web app for smartphones and tablets
Supa Parking is web-based: the operator accesses it through a browser and does not need to install a proprietary application on every device. This makes it easier to use on smartphones, tablets and authorised computers and simplifies the distribution of updates.
The service requires a suitable connection. Supa Parking must not be presented as an offline application unless that mode has been specifically configured and verified.
What data does the operator see during a check?
The screen can make available only the information useful for the authorised activity, such as:
- whether a valid permit is present;
- the plate checked;
- the authorised area or areas;
- the validity period;
- the type or status of the authorisation;
- any operational instructions configured by the operator.
Roles and access rights distinguish the functions of enforcement staff from those of administrative operators, limiting the display of unnecessary data.
Digital control without stickers or paper permits
When the municipality adopts plate-based control, citizens do not need to collect and display a sticker or permit on the windscreen. A renewal, authorised change or new permit becomes available in the central system without replacing physical material.
For the authority, this means less printing and distribution of passes; for field staff, it means checking up-to-date data instead of interpreting damaged or expired permits.
Control for resident zones and long-stay parking
The mobile app can be used for resident permits, municipal subscriptions, company parking, private areas and other medium- or long-term authorisations. The result takes into account the relationship between plate, area, tariff and validity.
If the operator wants to automate plate reading, manual checking can be complemented by an ALPR/LPR integration, while Supa Parking remains the source of authorisation data.
FAQ
Is it necessary to install the app on the phone?
No. Supa Parking is a web app accessible through a browser from an authorised device.
Can the operator check a permit by entering the plate?
Yes. The plate is compared with registered authorisations to check its status, validity period and authorised area.
Does the mobile app issue a penalty automatically?
No. Permit verification and any penalty procedure are separate activities. Supa Parking provides the result of the check; subsequent steps depend on the authority's tools and rules.
Does the check work without a connection?
The web service normally requires connectivity. Any offline mode must be specifically assessed and configured and is not implicit in the standard platform.
