Retaining and deleting parking permit data (GDPR)
Parking permits contain personal data: names, contact details, addresses and number plates. Supa Parking helps municipalities and operators retain it only as long as necessary, with automatic rules and controlled deletion tools.
Anonymisation after expiry
Each permit can have a date after which personal data is anonymised. For short-stay permits paid at a meter, for example, anonymisation is scheduled shortly after the stay ends: the record remains useful for statistics but no longer identifies the person.
Deletion dates for incomplete applications
Deletion can be scheduled for applications that were never completed or were rejected. When a permit is approved, its scheduled deletion is removed.
Guided deletion with preview
Department administrators have a two-step procedure:
- preview: the system shows which data and links would be affected, without changing anything;
- execution: after review, the operation is confirmed and carried out.
The procedure can handle the deletion of a single permit, a person or an organisation agreement, choosing a strategy and, where needed, a replacement item to which links are reassigned. Deletions are recorded in a log.
Restricted access and minimised data
Only authorised administrators can start a deletion. In plate-based checks too, the operator sees only the information needed.
FAQ
Does Supa Parking automatically delete expired data?
Anonymisation and deletion dates are stored on the permit and enable automated processes; the specific retention period must be defined by the data controller.
Can I see what will be deleted before confirming?
Yes. The preview shows the effects of the operation before it is executed.
Are deletions traceable?
Yes. Deletion operations are recorded in a dedicated log.
Who can delete personal data?
Only department administrators.
