Short-stay parking paid by plate at the parking meter

Not all parking is subscription-based. In paid areas drivers pay at a meter or payment station and enforcement must be able to verify that payment immediately. Supa Parking records a short stay as a permit linked to the plate, the device and the price.

From payment to recorded stay

When a payment is made at a meter, the system creates a short-stay permit with:

• the vehicle's country and number plate;
• the meter or payment station where the payment was made;
• the applied price and calculated expiry.

Enforcement therefore does not depend on a ticket displayed in the vehicle: the stay can be verified by plate.

Short- and long-term prices

Each price can be classified as short or long term. The same platform therefore manages hourly parking paid at devices as well as subscriptions and resident permits, with separate rules and zones. Prices can also have validity windows by time of day and weekday, with exceptions.

Different devices, one platform

Meters, payment stations and other devices share a common data base: operating status, maintenance information, public name and supported payment methods. Staff see which devices payments were made at and manage meters from a single place.

Real-time checks

With the enforcement app or ANPR cameras, the operator verifies whether an active stay exists for the plate, regardless of how it was purchased.

Minimised data

Personal data from short stays is anonymised shortly after expiry, keeping statistics usable.
